  • Ethanol extract of Sonneratia caseolaris leaves showed antioxidant activity comparable to vitamin C — IC50 of 4.25 ppm against 5.25 ppm, placing it in the super-antioxidant category.
  • Active against MRSA, the strain of Staphylococcus aureus that has developed resistance to β-lactam antibiotics.
  • Highest polyphenol content among the four mangrove species tested, including 12.4% non-toxic flavonoids.
  • LC-MS/MS analysis identified azelaic acid and aspirin, alongside the flavonoid glucosides isovitexin and quercitrin.
